How to submit a rights complaint, family dispute, removal request, or copyright notice.

If you believe content on AncestLore infringes your rights, your family’s rights, or a deceased relative’s legacy, you can request review and removal.

What you can report

  • Copyright infringement (photos, videos, audio, written work).
  • Unauthorised use of a living person’s voice, likeness, or identity.
  • Disputed materials relating to a deceased relative.
  • Defamatory or fabricated content presented as real.

What to include

  • Your name and relationship to the affected person or work.
  • A clear description and link or path to the disputed content.
  • A statement explaining the basis of your request.
  • A good-faith declaration that the information you have provided is accurate.

What happens next

We acknowledge requests within a reasonable time, suspend disputed outputs while we investigate where appropriate, and aim to resolve most requests within 14 days. Submit takedown requests via the Contact Us link in the footer.
