Data Deletion Policy

Delete a memory, a loved one's profile, or your entire account — and what we keep for legal reasons.

You stay in control. AncestLore gives you several layers of deletion.

Delete individual items

You can delete individual memories, photos, recordings, messages, or AI-generated outputs from within the relevant keepsake or profile.

Delete a loved one’s profile

You can delete an entire person’s profile, which removes their memories, voice clone, persona, and related AI artefacts.

Delete your account

From your account settings you can request full account deletion. We remove your personal data within 30 days. Limited records may be kept where the law requires us to retain them (for example, financial records or safety-incident logs).

Shared materials

If another family member has contributed materials, deletion of your account does not automatically remove their contributions — those remain under their control.
