Voice & Likeness Consent Policy

You confirm you own or control the materials you upload and have authority to create voice or likeness recreations.

Voice and likeness are deeply personal. AncestLore lets you preserve and recreate them — and that power comes with responsibility.

By uploading materials you confirm that

  • You own the materials, or you have explicit permission from the rights holder to use them.
  • You have the authority to create AI voice recreations from any voice samples you upload.
  • You have the authority to create AI image, video, or likeness recreations from any photos or videos you upload.
  • For living people, you have their informed consent (see the Living Person Consent Policy).
  • For deceased people, you have a legitimate relationship and a respectful purpose (see the Deceased Loved One Policy).

What we will refuse to do

  • Generate voice or likeness content of public figures, celebrities, or strangers without proven authority.
  • Generate sexual, violent, defamatory, or harassing content.
  • Generate content intended to deceive others into believing it is real.

If we receive a complaint

If a rights holder, family member, or estate notifies us that a voice or likeness was uploaded without authority, we will suspend the affected outputs while we investigate, and we may remove them permanently. See the Copyright & Takedown Policy.
